Leopard Creek Country Club is frequently cited as the greatest golf course in South Africa — and many would argue in Africa. Designed by Gary Player and opened in 1996, the course is situated on the banks of the Crocodile River, which forms the southern boundary of the Kruger National Park. The Kruger fence runs along the course boundary, meaning that hippos, crocodiles, elephants and various antelope species are a genuine part of the playing experience.
