Oubaai Golf Club

Oubaai Golf Club is an Ernie Els design situated above the dramatic coastline near Herolds Bay, between George and Mossel Bay on the Garden Route. Carved through indigenous coastal fynbos with views of the Indian Ocean on several holes, the course opened in 2005 and has quickly established itself as one of the Garden Route's premier golfing destinations.

• The course name 'Oubaai' means 'Old Bay' in Afrikaans — a reference to the historic Herolds Bay below, one of the oldest holiday destinations on the Garden Route.
• The fynbos through which the course is routed is a UNESCO World Heritage ecosystem unique to the southern tip of Africa.
• Several holes have Indian Ocean views — on clear days whales can be spotted in the bay below during whale season (August–October).
• The 18th hole is a dramatic downhill par 5 that finishes near the clubhouse with views across the Garden Route coastline.
